CULT BUY: The earrings that sell out within minutes.

Excuse me, I found the BEST earrings in the world and you need to get a pair in your hot little hands (and ears) right now.

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon the Kenzie Collective on Instagram and I was immediately drawn to their jazzy little ear dangles.

They looked FUN, they were a great price, and best of all – they’re handmade in Australia by a mum-of-two.

After some very intense stalking of the Kenzie Collective Instagram feed and website, I realised that although there wasn’t much in stock at the time, they were about to do a restock.

From the social media posts and comments, I could tell these nifty little ear jewels sold out within minutes each time the website was restocked. *Nervous sweats*

But I was determined to get mine. So I set my alarm for ten minutes before the restock went live and then I sat there, fingers primed, ready for the most important five minutes of my life.

And I bloody did it. I picked myself up a pair of rose foil ‘Cactus – Little Mexico’ earrings and goldie ‘Sticks DELUXE’ earrings (both $39 each).

They arrived within the week and since then I’ve received soooo many compliments from strangers in the street (which is a nice change from “Excuse me, ma’am – there’s something in your teeth” and “Ma’am, you can’t do that here”).

The Kenzie Collective also stocks a range of accessories from other independent Australian designers, so it’s kind of like a one stop shop for local design talent.

The best bit about the Kenzie Collective isn’t even their fun designs and brilliant colours, but the fact that every time you treat yoself – you’re supporting small, local businesses that are run by women, for women.

So do yourself a favour and check out the Kenzie Collective, your ears will thank you for it.
