House of Cards is back, and we have one burning question.

Play foreboding music. Cancel your plans for the weekend. Frank Underwood is back.

Season Four of House of Cards has finally dropped in the heaven that is Netflix.

We get to find out if and why Clare actually left.

We get to find out what will happen to Frank.

And we get to find out whether Clare will kill Doug. (Someone else’s theory – but hey, it’s a good one).

But before we become submerged in, we thought we would take a look back at the past three seasons in a special episode of The Binge podcast. Rosie Waterland and Sarah Jane Collins were joined by Jamila Rizvi to talk all things Underwood.

Just a warning, there will be spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen Season 3 (if you haven’t – seriously – get with it).

It’s a well known fact that nothing stops Frank and Clare from getting what they want. Killing people? Not a problem. Framing people? A walk in the park. Sabotaging each other? That’s what we think we are about to find out.

At the end of season three, Clare told Frank she was leaving him, just as he was about to start campaigning for his second term of Presidency. And, he kind of needs Clare to win.

“For me, the biggest question season four has to answer for us, is whether or not Clare is good,” Jam told Rosie and S.J.

“We know that Frank Underwood is evil, that’s a given. But she’s willing to do horrible horrible things, but she seems to have that little element of conscience in there.”

“She made this concession in her life. She wanted to be powerful, so she thought maybe I will get there by marrying this powerful man, and then we will be powerful together – but then she realises, when it comes down to it, there is only one chair in the oval office, and she is never going to sit in it.” Rosie said.

Does she want to be the wife of the most powerful man in the world? Or does she want to be the most powerful?

Well, we guess time will tell.
