Here’s a life lesson for you: As human beings, we aren’t allowed to have nice things without someone tearing apart our fantasy and killing our dreams. Which is why when a fan-made alternate ending to ‘Friends’ landed online this week, we were equally fascinated and devastated by the theory.

Remember how it actually ended? The friends – Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, Rachel, Ross and Monica – left their apartment keys on the counter and walked off to get a coffee. Boom, the end, that’s it.

fan has come up with an alternate ending for the series that’s a bit depressing. If you don’t want your day ruined, you should probably just stop reading now.
