Zelda Williams has a new tattoo in honour of her late father Robin.

Zelda Williams has a beautiful new tattoo for her late father, comic genius Robin Williams.

25-year-old Zelda released a picture on Instagram yesterday, showing a new tattoo of a hummingbird on her right hand. Robin’s birth date, the 21st of July 1951, is written below in numbers as 7 – 21 – 51. Hummingbirds must be special to the family, as guests at Robin’s funeral received a wrist band with a picture of the bird, and the message “Love the stillness of life.”

Zelda’s Instagram post also included a message to the public:

For poppo. Thank you to the incomparable @dr_woo_ssc for so beautifully bringing my reminders to life. I’ll always put my hand out to shake with a smile. As for this Instagram, I don’t know in what capacity I’ll continue using it in the future, but I’m leaving it up regardless so that fake accounts hoping to use my name or misuse my family’s photos will get no traction. To be clear, this is MY ONLY account. Publicly, I have Twitter, and this. If other people post quotes and photos claiming to be me or my family, please, do not send them personal information or click links, even for charity. They could be utilizing sympathy to scam you. For the record, no one has ever or will ever speak for me but me. Thank you.

  The legendary comedian and actor passed away on the 8th of August, after a long battle with depression. His three children, Zachary, 31, Cody, 22, and Zelda, gave statements to the press, and then maintained their privacy. Zelda’s Instagram and Twitter accounts went into overdrive with fans trawling for pictures of Robin. Horribly enough, she was even harassed by some online trolls, sending her fake photos of her fathers dead body. She took a social media hiatus, breaking it only to post an occasional message for her supporters.      

I will be leaving this account for a but while I heal and decide if I’ll be deleting it or not. In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends. Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary. There are a couple throughout, but the real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or ‘selfies’. I shared him with a world where everyone was taking their photo with him, but I was lucky enough to spend time with him without cameras too. That was more than enough, and I’m grateful for what little time I had. My favorite photos of family are framed in my house, not posted on social media, and they ‘ll remain there. They would’ve wound up on the news or blogs then, and they certainly would now. That’s not what I want for our memories together. Thank you for your respect and understanding in this difficult time.
