Have you noticed this? Whenever the subject of Nicole Kidman’s pregnancy comes up in a group of people, someone will say “Do you think it’s fake?”

Now, I can’t remember this being said about any celebrity before except…..Katie Holmes. Many bloggers have joked about whether “Nicole borrowed Katie’s pillow”.

Why is this? Are we so cynical about celebrities that we believe anyone would FAKE a pregnancy? And what for? Publicity? I’m not very good with conspiracy theories so I’m slightly stumped as to why any woman would pretend to be pregnant.

in her latest interview in US Vogue to go with the cover, above, Nicole has gone so far as to put the interviewer’s hand on her stomach to feel kicking which strikes me as a little bit sad. You know, that she would have to prove that it was a baby and not a pillow. Yet another reason to be grateful not to be famous….
