It’s not entirely appropriate. It’s been five days. Five days since Orange Is The New Black dropped on Netflix.

And it only took four for the world to officially become obsessed with Ruby Rose, the Australian actress/model/TV presenter who arrived at the prison and instantly drove everyone to distraction as Stella.

Cue a red carpet appearance that’s being covered on every single celebrity site, ever, when she attended a fancy fashion event in LA yesterday:

In the middle of all this, Ruby, 29, tweeted: “Woke up trending on Twitter and I haven’t seen the show yet got me feeling realllllll vulnerable right now! Hope you’re all loving the show.”

Um, think that’s done, Ruby.

Just to confuse the straight women a little bit more, Rose also is using her new-found profile to talk about “gender fluidity”.

“I’m not a guy; I don’t really feel like a woman, but obviously I was born one,” she says. “So, I’m somewhere in the middle, which – in my perfect imagination – is like having the best of both sexes.

“I have a lot of characteristics that would normally be present in a guy and then less that would be present in a woman. But then sometimes I’ll put on a skirt.”

Welcome to being the world’s favourite new Australian. Ruby. And we’re happy you have your other half Phoebe Dahl at your back to get you through the totally-trending obsession.

Ruby said of scoring the gig on OITNB,  “[Phoebe] was like “whatever you’re doing, I’m proud of you and I support you … just don’t fall in love with anybody’.”

Doesn’t look like that happened, since they’re still one of the most loved-up couples on Instagram:
