Contortionists are fascinating. Is it just me? New Zealand’s Skye Broberg can squeeze through a tennis racquet. 3 different ways. She broke the record by doing it in 12.4 seconds on the set of NZ Smashes Guinness World Records.
Fast forward to the 2:30min mark to see her do it….
Do you have a special skill? A party trick? Can you touch your nose with your tongue? Recite the alphabet backwards?

Skye isn’t the Guinness Record holder. Dorothy King Kicked her ass. Beat her so bad.

i can raise one eyebrow. i practised for months as a kid and ive never lost it. only on one side though…

I tried this once with an old racket we had lying around, after we saw a street performer doing it-and i found out you don’t have to be a contortionist at all,it’s easier than it looks!

Ok,i just watched the clip, and yes,my technique was somewhat simpler…:)

I can write backwards, like a mirror image.

I can squeeeeeeeeeeze into my size 12 jeans 3 ways…..
1) by holding my breath and sucking tummy in
2) by not eating breakfast or lunch, and then wearing them to dinner

I can clasp my hands behind my back and then get my arms over my head and around to my front. It’s a substantial gift!

Vaudeville is calling your name !

I can pretend someone is fascinating and charming when they’re boring me to oblivion. Particularly useful at husband’s accountancy parties…

This is a skill I soooo wish I had!

I can say the alphabet backwards in 4 seconds. My other talent is no matter how tight my pants are, I always still manage to show a good inch of arse crack.

My special skill is that I can pretend to be very busy working when I am in fact on the internet stuffing around.

Agreed!

ooh – I can recite the alphabet backwards! The only other “tricky ” thing i can think of is i can twist my elbows and shoulders a weird way – some people call it ” double-jointed ” but i dont think there is any such thing, is there? I suppose my joints are just more flexible…

I’m 29 and can still do the splits on both legs thanks to years of gymnastics and dancing lessons. I wouldn’t call it a party trick, since I’d have to be verrrry drunk to ever do it at an actual party, but I’m still quietly proud of myself. I think my husband appreciates it too

I liked her little regal wave that she did after she broke the record the first time!

I can wiggle my nose and probably better than Samantha in ‘Bewitched’. I put it down to permanent hay fever!

I saw a one man band at Woolies, yesterday. Around in frozen foods there was this guy fiddling with himself.

i bet a million people can do this, but everyone who see’s me do it thinks i’m wierd lol i can make my knees ‘talk’ moving the muscles in my knees. obviously without moving anything else lol not sure how to describe it!
loading...
I can do that too! I never thought of it as my knees talking but thats a great description! I can also recited the alphabet backwards and the one most ppl find a bit odd is wiggle my little toes outwards independently of the rest of my toes!

i was a lot less confused once i realised the string were removed!

Oh, come on, now !

I’m not sure she should have beaten the record – I could be wrong, but it looks like they’re totally different builds. Him being quite a muscular male, with broader shoulders and bigger arms/waist/muscles generally, whereas she was more petite. So naturally, since he was more bulky (or so it seemed to me) it would have taken him longer to get through it – you can see him struggling a bit to get it over his arm muscles at one point.
I’m not really replying to the question, just wondering how she could beat the record when she had a physical advantage by virtue of natural build. For me, since he was quite a bit bigger, his feat was far more impressive.

Yes, it was impressive watching him too. But, Skye is the record-holder for the fastest *person* to go through a tennis racquet, and “Rubber Boy” is the fastest *male* to do it. Yes, because of his gender, his muscles are bigger and therefore he is slightly slower, just as in many many many sports, females’ muscles are smaller and therefore slightly slower.
Usain Bolt still gets to be called the fastest person even though he has a physical advantage over half the population, and Skye Broberg deserves her tennis racquet record title in full too.
They’re both champions.

Wow!
My boyfriend’s cousin can recite the alphabet backward, he is 6.
I don’t have any weird tricks, but my brother can make is eyes shake.
loading...
So can I! I can make my eyes shake and vibrate side to side and really trip people out!
loading...
I can make my eyes vibrate too – I thought it was normal until I was about 8 and started freaking people out! My brother and sister can both do it too, so it must be a genetic thing.
