5 signs Laurina is Australia's first Bachelorette.

Audrey Day-Night might break 25 hearts this year. And we will watch. Oh, will we watch.

Laurina Fleure is probably the best thing to have come out of last season’s The Bachelor.

She cried over a Dirty Street Pie. She yelled at Blake for touching his eye. She wore black and valued herself as a human being.

And now, we’re pretty much convinced that she will be the star of the Bachelor spin-off, The Bachelorette.

Our hope is that Laurina will have 25 men fighting for her worthy attention. And — get this — we have reason to believe that it could actually happen. Five reasons, actually.

SPECULATIVE SLEUTHING: Why we think Laurina will be the Bachelorette.

1. She’s gone silent on social media.

Laurina has pretty much stopped posting on her social media accounts, when she usually posts about 100 things a minute (only a slight exaggeration). Laurina confirmed after The Bachelor last year that Channel Ten was pretty strict on the social media allowance once they’d signed a contract. Could this mean she is contracted to them again?

Did you see the time Laurina was in an infomercial? You must.

2. A ‘source close to the show’ hinted that it is true.

We don’t know who the source is. Or what they said. But… there you go.

3. She said a coy thing about being involved.

Before she went quiet on social media, Laurina said that she “can’t confirm or deny” any rumours about her TV appearances this year. We’d prefer if she wrote “Yep, I’m going to be the Bachelorette”, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.

4. She’s hinted at being on the shortlist.

Last year, Laurina said this: “I think they might have me in the line up. I was told I was in the short listing so that’s exciting. I’d have to consider it but I’m not seeing anyone.” SHE TOTALLY WANTS IT.

5. She’s be the absolute best please make this happen Channel 10.

Uh… Final reason? She’d be really entertaining. So she’s an obvious choice. She might end up giving herself the final rose, but that’s why we love her.

So, the sleuthing may be more like speculation. But still, we are crossing all of our fingers that Laurina will be the new Bach. Warning to all male applicants: Do NOT touch your eyes.

Do you want to apply to be the Bachelorette? Because you should. Here’s how.
