Jessie J – wonderful singer, The Voice coach and excellent human being – has been hassled for being a woman with breasts.
Those who make decisions about what is appropriate (read: trolls on Twitter) have blasted the 27-year-old for wearing low-cut tops on primetime TV. Obviously, in tabloid talk, this means she’s ‘showing off her assets’. But in reality, we know it just means the Channel Nine wardrobe department is dressing her in some great outfits.
This time, the outrage wagon has decided to jump on Jessie J for wearing a brilliant outfit that happened to be low-cut and happened to send some conservative parents into a spiral.
Cry us a river, you guys.
For those who didn’t have a problem with her cleavage, they took aim at her septum piercing.
And of course, no one dared to say anything about the outfits Ricky Martin or the Madden brothers were wearing.
Anyone who has ever spent five minutes on Twitter knows it’s a breeding ground for hatred and criticism, and this is heightened when you’re a celebrity. Luckily, Jessie J doesn’t seem to give a shit what some people with an Internet connection and a bad attitude have to say about her.
Jessie J, keep wearing low-cut tops and septum piercings forever more. You know, only if you want to.

i was watching with my 9 and 12 year old and they both thought the colour of jessies outfit was beautiful but that the top made them focus on her boobs cause they thought they might pop out at any second - clearly there was a bit of hollywood tape going on there to stop that happening and i assume jessie was pretty comfortable, but it looked like there could be a janet jackson moment at any time.,. they also decided that whilst they quite like nose piercings that they are not into bull rings. and then we listened to the performers who were all pretty amazing and thought no more of it.
