And we all know that an SJP ‘hint’ is worth at least 1000 normal-person shouts. So we’re treating this very seriously.

According to the Daily Mail, the actress told an audience gathered at the Cannes Lions Festival in France that a script is in existence. As in alive. As in, with movie-making potential.

“I know there is a story. I think it’s a really lovely, wonderful story, but whether of not we tell it remains to be seen.”

After a sequel that was met with a loud collective ‘meh’, we say let Carrie and the girls run wild with a third one. Redemption is near, Parker. Make the movie.

But we’re not even stopping there.

Because Father of the Bride could be back for a third movie too. And this time we’re hearing there could be a gay wedding in the story…. Apparently the young son, Matty, is older and planning to marry the son of a Navy SEAL.

The potential of a Diane Keaton and Steve Martin reunion and the best fictional gay wedding since the SATC movie?
