Eddie Redmayne and Prince William were friends in high school. And yes, there are photos.

A prince and an Oscar winner. Eton College alum ain’t too shabby.

We didn’t really think Oscar winner / honourable ginger Eddie Redmayne could be any more appealing, but we just found out he went to school with royalty. Handsome royalty.

Little Eddie, now 33, went to boarding school in England in the 1990’s and struck up a friendship with little Prince William, 32.

And YES, there’s photographic proof. Amazing, dorky, awkward teenage proof.

Can’t spot them? How about now:

There’s Eddie, bottom left, and there’s Wills, top right. The very best part of these photos is that they had to design their own waistcoats. Swoon.

And here they are, standing next to each other looking very serious in bow ties. Double swoon.

It’s no secret that Eds and Wills were the best of pals. Eddie told Glamour magazine about their days on the same rugby team in 1997.

“We were on the same rugby team at Eton College. He’s a wonderful man. I always felt slightly sorry for him because everyone wanted to tackle the future king of England. He took all the hits,” he said.

“I haven’t seen him since school, but he was a lovely man.”

Lets hope these photos stir up some old memories and result in a best friends reunion. We think Wills would be keen.
