It’s a very real problem.

With a three-month-old baby at home, returning to work was always going to have its moments for Carrie Bickmore, 34.

So when she took up her hosting chair on The Project last night, Bickmore’s baby, Evie was never far from her thoughts.

Especially when the show flashed up pictures of the little munchkin on the screen, to the “awwwwwwws” of the audience.

The unexpected glimpse of her baby caused Bickmore some consternation, though.

“It’s probably not good to show me that — my boobs are going to start leaking!” she said, clutching her chest.

She said that being back at work will take some getting used to.

“Usually by this time at night I’m in my ugg boots and tracksuit pants so it’s going to be quite a different night tonight,” she said, wondering aloud how many days she’d have to work before it’s appropriate for her to take a sick day.

During her brief maternity leave, Bickmore’s been busy, winning a Gold Logie and using her speech to raise awareness for brain cancer, which killed her first husband Greg Lange.

Bickmore and Lange had one child together, Oliver, 7.

Evie is her first child with second husband Chris Walker.
