McDreamy

, aka Dr Derek Shepherd, aka Patrick Dempsey, brought back from the dead because they just cannot handle life without him.

They just aren’t ready to let him go.

Following on from last week’s ridiculous episode that saw McDreamy’s demise and collectively broke the hearts of millions of fans around the world, one hardcore Grey’s viewer has created a Change.org petition to get the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, to just be like ‘jokes, you guys. Derek is back. It was all a dream’.

The petition has almost 60,000 signatures at the time of writing this, which has seriously increased from the measly 25,000 it had a couple of hours ago.

Love is dead, because Derek is dead.

The die-hard fan who created the petition, Courtney Williams, is obviously not coping very well since the episode aired.

Look, Courtney. We don’t really know if this is going to work. But props for being dedicated enough to try.
