The next time anyone comes out with the "but why didn't she just leave him", I'm going to show them this video. She's clearly trying to leave, and this is what happens - not just to her but to so many others too. What an absolute piece of garbage that man is, hopefully this is the end for him... although I have no doubt he will still have his supporters

Oh, Amen! So frustrating! I refuse to buy clothes that I can't try on first. So many things look nice in pictures or on a hanger, but when you actually put them on, they fit weirdly, or the fabric feels strange, or they don't suit you at all. Please start stocking the larger sizes in store.

Well, the tabloids have milked the "omg they're back together, look how happy and in love they are" angle for a while now, people will be getting bored. Time for the patented switcharoo - now they hate each other and are definitely divorcing. Next month, they will be looking for a surrogate so they can have a marriage-saving baby.

(That said, this is his second marriage and her... 4th? The stats aren't exactly in their favour. But still, media speculation based on sweet FA sucks.)

Ugggggh. I'm just so tired of this BS. So tired. So bored, so frustrated that we're still having to deal with this nonsense.

Dude, shut up.

@keen teacher right? As long as she's not embezzling parliamentary funds to pay for it, I couldn't care less what she wears.

rush May 15, 2024

@simple simon how they know the brand, or how they know the prices? Often people will post on socials and tag the brand they're wearing, from there it's pretty easy to look up the price. Or perhaps a reporter asked the Treasurer's office. Sometimes the brand will post pics of someone wearing their clothes - "Laura Chalmers wearing our X style dress and jacket in Parliament today", "Beautiful Movie Star wearing our Y dress in Cannes".

The Clayton's royals. (Young folk, Google "the drink you have when you're not drinking".)

And I'm pretty sure that Edward - and partulicularly Sophie - have picked up a fair chunk of the usual royal appearances. They fly under the radar a bit, but they are both fairly involved.

First of all, I hate the word "glotion". Don't ask why, it just feels weird. Second, we need a before-and-after shot. You look very nice in the photo, but I can't tell if you look different than usual.

@simple simon but often well known people front weight loss campaigns after dealing with comments about their weight for years. Kirste Alley, Sarah Ferguson, even Magda Szubanski, they all were criticised for their weight for a long time before advertising weight loss programs.

When they make even the tall thin models look stumpy, they are probably not for the rest of us mere mortals!

@rosiecat you beat me to it, I was just about to say the same thing! Love those books, entertaining and easy to read.

It's probably wouldn't hurt for parents to do a little bit of a google or YouTube search and find out about the ingredients and what's out there. And don't do what we did as teenagers with spots, and use those Clearasil products allegedly designed for "acne prone skin" that just stripped all the moisture from our faces - "if it stings, it must be working!". Not our fault, we didn't have a lot of options back then! And remember that benzoyl peroxide can bleach your towels and other fabrics, so if everything suddenly has little orangey patches on it, that might be why. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What I actually want ro say probably wouldn't get through the moderators, so I will fall back on an old Aussie classic... suffer in your jocks, Bruce.

The technology is different (and more invasive), but these kids are still worrying about the same stuff I did thirty-something years ago. Just desperately wanting to fit in, to feel included... trying to navigate friendships at a time when everyone is hormonal and uncertain about who they are. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Of course it's Piers Morgan. Interviewing a clearly disturbed person, giving her more fame and notoriety, what could possibly go wrong?

@gmm849 I've got the VS Sassoon Enrich Rotating Hot Air Styler, from Big W. It was only $62, which I think is a pretty decent price to start with - I wanted to see how much I'd use it before I bought anything too expensive! I'd definitely recommend one that rotates, and next time I think I'd get one that has interchangeable brushes.  This one is quite a large barrel, I'd like one a bit smaller to give a little bit more curl. I've found it works best if my hair is mostly dry, and I use it for finishing, or to smooth everything out in the morning when I wake up looking like a haystack!

That corset on Kim just looks so painful. God knows what it's doing to her internal organs - I'm guessing she can't take a deep breath, either. To think that a hundred years ago, "flappers" were getting rid of the restrictive corsets women had been wearing for years, and now here we are again, with some people trying to bring them back!

@jzinga75 😆 well, I just bought a three-pack of ribbed socks, I clearly have no idea what I'm doing! When I was a teen, it was scrunched socks with your pants leg tucked in... 🤦‍♀️

rush May 7, 2024

Who spends this much time thinking about socks?

Am I the only one who thinks these are a bit underwhelming? After Blake Lively's transforming dress, or Rihanna dressed like a sparkly Pope, these outfits seem kind of ordinary.

ETA: OK, apparently I commented too early, before all the fun outfits arrived! Much more like I expected! I hope Rita Ora brought a towel to sit on. And maybe some talcum powder for her husband, dudes gonna be sweating up a storm in all that pleather!
