Win tickets to watch the AFL (and get your kids playing Auskick)

Welcome to a sponsored post from NAB AFL Auskick. I am going to hand you over  (with a dextrous AFL pass)  to Lana

.

My son is a big TV watcher and by that I don’t just mean that he watches a big TV screen. His frequent  TV viewing has allowed me to conduct my own in-lounge version of research (as you do) and I can safely concur with the experts that say that watching TV affects the behaviour of your children.  If he watches programs that are violent and graphic he comes away from the TV acting aggressive and er, horrible!  BUT if he watches sport on TV it affects him just as strongly – but this can be very positively framed. After watching the Australian Open he just wanted to go and play tennis, after watching the swimming at the Commonwealth games he just wanted to do laps and now that the AFL season is starting I just know he will be watching and  I am looking into a way that he can fulfill this need outside of the lounge.  Seems Auskick is the way to go

NAB AFL Auskick is the Australian Football League’s key introductory program for primary school-aged boys and girls and their families. Their weekly coaching program teaches the skills of the  game through appropriately modified activities where the emphasis is on fun and having a go. Everything that I want my child to be involved in – acquiring skills, making new friends, learning to be part of a team and having fun!

Last year, more than 166,616 kids across the country were involved in the NAB AFLAuskick program so clearly there is something there for everyone.  And  everyone is catered for, in fact NAB AFL Auskick encourages you to bring your whole family- after all it’s their world, your community.  You can watch and laugh as your child enjoys the game in a fun and relaxed environment or you can get involved as a volunteer.

The easiest way for you to register for season 2011 is online. Just click here and follow the very simple registration steps.

.

But today we are not content to just feed you the facts, we want to know a couple of facts from you!.  Play along with our AFL Quiz – ask your kids how much they know about the game and have some fun before the season starts

Complete the quiz and send a copy of your answers to me at lana@mamamia.com.au .  The first 4 correct entries I receive will win 4x reserved seating tickets (adult and/or child) to an AFL match during the 2011 Toyota AFL Home & Away Season (does not include ANZAC day). Subject to availability.  So get answering.

If you want the answers (after you have submitted your winning entry of course) just email me and I will send them out.  Obviously we wont be awarding prizes to those who receive the answers before they complete the quiz.  We are very fair like that.

Have fun

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED – But you can still have fun with the quiz
