The Mannequin Challenge is the best viral video trend yet.

There’s yet another viral video trend sweeping the world, but this time we’re firmly on board.

No, nobody is dumping buckets of iced water on their heads, sculling a beer in a minute or “planking” in difficult places.

This DIY craze is far less dangerous. It’s also a lot easier: You just stay still.

Hundreds of videos show people standing in ordinary (and sometimes dramatic) poses as if they were mannequins, while a camera pans around them.

It’s proven popular among sporting teams on Twitter, with cheerleading, football, basketball and soccer teams keen to show off by posing in uncomfortable and awkward positions. Extra points if you don’t blink.

Celebrities like Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and music producer Diplo have also jumped on board.

The US NFL football team the Dallas Cowboys made an impressive attempt.

Even US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has given it a go.

The video, uploaded to Twitter, pans through a plane carrying the Democrat candidate and her staff, along with her husband Bill, and rock icon Jon Bon Jovi.

The clip ends with the message: ‘Don’t stand still. Vote today.’

Like all trends, the Mannequin Challenge’s popularity is sure to be fleeting.

But at least it’ll be fun while it lasts.
