Wonderful news, ladies: you can now have your labia "puffed".

The name sounds like an allergic reaction, but “labia puffing” is a cosmetic procedure set to “rejuvenate” your lower half.

The non-surgical procedure sees fat taken from one part of a patient’s body, and injected straight into their labia majora. The idea is the injected fat will “puff” the labia majora into the fuller wrinkle-free state experienced during youth.

Cosmetic surgeon Jennifer Walden told the Daily Star the vagina decreases in size over time as the skin loses its youthful elasticity.

“The vagina, like the rest of our bodies, loses volume (from collagen and fatty tissue) and fullness with age as well as laxity of the skin,” she said.

“Plumping the labia majora gives it a more youthful appearance.”

Walden said the fat pulled from another area of the body reverses this natural effect.

“This makes it look great as it immediately refills it to an appearance similar to what it may have looked like prior to childbearing and/or menopause,” she said.

The procedure — also known as labia majora augmentation — can be completed in about 15 minutes, according to the Australian website of Restore Cosmetic Surgery.

The Daily Star quoted the estimated cost to undergo the procedure in the UK was around AU$3000.

It was also noted the labia naturally becomes engorged when aroused, so perhaps you could save your cash and simply, ahem, get to it.
