The glaring mistake on a wedding RSVP card that has people all over the globe confused.

Hello #weddingfail of 2016!

A wedding RSVP card has gone viral for listing children as a choice of entree. The option of eating a child (12 and under) was listed as the third choice after beef and pork.

The fail has gained a huge amount of attention after being posted to Reddit five days ago. The user who uploaded the image captioned it with their own dietary request.

“I’ll have the 10-year-old please, medium-rare.”

The invitation even goes so far as to include the sentence: 'Please let us know of any dietary restrictions'.

Well, where to begin?

I, like Bachelor Richie, have a rather severe brunette allergy...

Users have applauded the poster for the excellent find and have shared a few requests of their own.

"Free roaming and gluten free please," one user said.

"I prefer my children with fava beans and a nice Chianti," another user joked.

One user sensibly brought up the very real and very sad reality of what ticking that option would deliver.

"Eating children jokes aside, I'm just picturing checking that off and getting like a happy meal or something," they said.

Let's hope the joke earned a good chuckle from the entire guest list.
