Share: This simple argument slays those vaccination myths.

Send this video to anyone you know who still argues that vaccinations cause autism

When the topic of immunisation arises, without fail, there is always one person who cites the supposed link between vaccinations and autism in children. It’s a frustrating line of argument for those who do vaccinate their children, especially as it has been found that no such correlation exists. Hearsay and emotion too often overshadow science and facts in anti-vax rhetoric.

This video, by American comedians Penn & Teller, debunks the myth in a short, simple and logical format (with some strong language, just so you know). The duo argue that foregoing vaccinations altogether, out of fear they may cause autism, puts children at risk of contracting a myriad of other serious, and now preventable, diseases: polio, diphtheria, meningitis, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, whooping cough, roto virus, small pox and tetanus.

“We have vaccinations against all of them. Which side do you want your child to stand on?” Penn asks. Surely the answer to that question is clear.
