Just buy these 8 useful baby products. Then stop.

So, the results are in. And apparently, these are the 8 baby products you can’t do without. We have a feeling you might have a few additions…

When we brought you the 10 most useless baby products recently, many of you had some, um, pretty strong opinions on what should and shouldn’t have made that list.

Here, we redress the balance with the findings  (based on a survey conducted by consumer body Which?) of what you SHOULD fork out your hard-earned dollars for. From the stair gates to the digital ear thermometer, these eight items are the products that parents in their study found most use for.

We nearly fell over just reading stats that in 2013, the average yearly cost of a newborn was $10,000 for the year (based on an income of $65,000 annually before taxes). So you’ll be happy to know that you can get all these products for a very reasonable $459, although it does not include one very obvious big ticket item – a pram. We do recommend that you get one of those!
