The woman’s name is Yulia, and she’s one of the people protesting in the Ukraine right now.
In this YouTube clip, which has so far been seen over 4 million times, she explains what is going on in Kiev and pleads for the world to help her people “to live a normal life”.
Pro-democracy group Ukrainian Euromaidan has recently created a Facebook project depicting the people who have helped and inspired the movement. They are referred to as Maidaners.

well worth watching - haunting video
I can't watch this at my work desk. I would have loved a list of the key points. I want (at least a basic, for now) understanding of WTF is going on there are why. But this afternoon I only have two minutes to read anything.
I'd love a bit more info too. Anyway MM would do a cheat sheet on the situation there?
