The moment Bre discovered her Uber passenger was also her boyfriend's mistress.

An Uber driver got the shock of her life when she dropped off a female passenger on her way to see her lover – at her own boyfriend’s house.

Bre, 24, had said goodbye to her boyfriend on Tuesday before he travelled interstate to visit his sick mother in hospital – or so she thought.

“My man told me he was going to New York to see his mum. She’s in the hospital. He had luggage packed and everything. I stayed with him the night before,” the US woman said on Twitter.

Later that day, Bre picked up a woman from the airport on her way to see her boyfriend in the same apartment complex as her own and thought nothing of it.

“She said she’s here to visit her boyfriend and she’s so excited. She hasn’t seen him in forever blah blah blah. I’m relating, I’m like ‘yeah my man just left out of town’.

“We (sic) in the car and we just riding she telling me about herself. I let her help herself to my dam water in my backseat.”

The passenger didn’t know which apartment number to put in so, she’d left it off. It was only when Bre approached the man’s house that she realised her boyfriend was cheating on her – and it did not end well for anyone.

“His ass came out the house ready to assist with luggage and the devil rose up out of me like you are dead ass right now. He runs.

“…He was going to leave her outside with me too lol sad.”

The 24-year-old took to Twitter to give a blow-by-blow account of the awkward story, which ends in her driving off with the other woman’s luggage.

#UberBae – as she’s now known – received thousands of likes and retweets for her hectic story – including the one that sums it up in the most perfectly awful way possible:
