Another toddler has been 'pulled unconscious' from a backyard pond in Sydney's West.

A toddler who was found unconscious in a backyard pond in Sydney’s West has been taken to hospital.

Emergency services were called to the home in McGee Place, Fairfield West, at around 10.30am this morning after the 2-year-old boy was found not breathing in the water, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

It is believed he fell into a water feature or pond in the home’s yard.

A spokesperson from NSW Ambulance said the boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to nearby Westmead Hospital.

Further information about his condition is unknown.

It follows the death of a two-year-old girl in hospital last night, who fell into a backyard pool during New Year's Eve celebrations.

So far 15 people have drowned in NSW over the holiday period.

Since Christmas Day there have been fourteen water-related deaths in NSW.
