by EMMA ABRAHAMS

‘Tis the season of giving. And let’s be honest, sometimes the person who is most deserving of a gift, just happens to be you. So today we’re here to help you with a few self-presents. Mamamia Shopping‘s Creative Director and pre-Christmas stressed out mum, Emma, shares what she’s saved to her cart this week.

1. WHAT THE F$&@ DO I MAKE FOR DINNER? $15.00

Looking into my diary at this time of year is scary. There just aren’t enough hours in the day. Christmas parties and BBQ’s are looming and everyone is trying to ‘catch up’ before another year has passed. It’s all overwhelming and exhausting – especially if you’re a working mum. Some things just seem too hard in December.. Like what to cook for dinner. To avoid yet another chorus of “Pizza… AGAIN” from my place – I really need this book..

2. St Tropez Wash Off Body Illuminator. Buy it here

2. ST TROPEZ WASH OFF BODY ILLUMINATOR $ 29.95

The sudden shock of warm weather means the horror combination of summery short skirts and skin that Snow White herself would be proud of. For those of us not lucky enough to have been holidaying in Ibiza, we may need a bit of help in the healthy summer glow department.

3. SEED HERITAGE OCELOT T-SHIRT $27.97

The endless and expensive search for the perfect versatile tee has just ended. I love this so hard that I think I might have to get the blue one as well. And it’s on sale. Win.

4. Country Road Sandals. Buy it here

4. COUNTRY ROAD -EVE TASSEL SANDALS $ 99

It’s time for some polish to hit these toe nails of yours. Out of the ankle boots and cosy flats – bring on summer sandals and at least three months of looking fancy without having to wear heels.

Sandals with pants, thongs with skirts, strappy little numbers with shorts… I’m NEVER wearing heels again.

5. Lauderee Macaroons.

5. LAUDEREE MACAROONS

Did I mention I was pregnant? It was hard enough saying no to macaroons before the eating for two began. And now? I’m giving in to the inevitable in a big way. Knowing that the famous Parisian wonderland of a store, with their dainty and delicious macaroons all stacked in pretty rows is only a stroll away, is enough to make me salivate audibly Homer-Simpson style. You know where to find me in my lunch break.
