The Young Mummy is crowdsourcing baby names for her second child.

The Young Mummy, AKA Sophie Cachia, has taken to Instagram with a very exciting type of name game.

At 12 weeks pregnant, she’s asking her 126,000 followers to help her come up with a name for baby number two.

‘First pregnancy I was OBSESSED with baby names,’ she wrote, next to an ultrasound photo which appears to be from her first pregnancy. ‘Second time around I’m like ‘meh, that will do.’ I’m totally being a lazy cow and would like to be inundated with your many suggestions.’

She also asked her audience to specify whether they think she’s having a boy or a girl, and to ‘give me your best name suggestions that go with Bobby.’

And so the NAME GAME begins! The best part I think about not finding out is coming up with two – or in our case last time, three – possible names for your child. We didn’t know whether we were going to have a Bobby, or a Valentina in our lives forever! (Third name I’m keeping hush because I still like it ????) First pregnancy I was OBSESSED with baby names, second time around I’m like ‘meh, that will do’. I’m totally being a lazy cow and would like to be inundated with your many suggestions. Put below if you think B2 is a boy or a girl, and give me your best name suggestions that go with Bobby. Ps we don’t fancy traditional, this time we’re going all out. To think this might be my last pregnancy – woah! X ????

Of course, she doesn’t just want any old baby name. She writes ‘we don’t fancy traditional, this time we’re going all out. To think this might be my last pregnancy.’

Okay guys. The competition starts now.

As is to be expected from The Young Mummy’s loyal following, her fans delivered. And we’re fascinated by the responses.

Ally Bick is also a fan of unconventional names, and shared some of her favourites for boys and girls.

‘For boys: Ryder, wolf, vance, Bennton, Bodhi, Jakari, Aston, Layken,’ she wrote. ‘And for girls: Allora, Jadai, Hartley, Kaia, Harlyn, Zuri, Zali.’ There are definitely some names in there we’ve never heard before.

But others concentrated more on names that would go with Bobby.

‘I think a boy and call him Eddie,’ wrote Instagram user bmmac. ‘That works with Bobby and your surname.’

Bobby and Eddie does make for a really cute combo.

But luckily, there was one commenter who was focused on what’s truly important: their celebrity-style combination name.

The comment read, ‘Bobby & Ella (if it’s a girl) {their celebrity-style combination name will be Bella}… Bobby & Mason (if it’s a boy) {celebrity-style combination name will be Bobson} because at the end of the day… The mash up of their name to make a meaningless word is pivotal to their success as siblings.’

Amen.
