We have to talk about the The Voice battles...

We’ve been crying on the couch again. And this time, it’s all the fault of The Voice battles.

There have been tears in the living room again. Last night, and first up, it was because we were emotionally over-investing in two singers, Candice Skjonnemand and Thando Sikwila, who were facing off on Team Kylie. Their version of Clowns was easily the best thing we’ve seen on the show this year, and both women deserved to go through (and did, thanks to the hip-thrusting demigod Ricky Martin), but when Candice’s two little kids came and cuddled her backstage after her performance, well, we were toast…

Candice cuddles her kids backstage after getting through.

See, Candice is a single mum from the Gold Coast. She's 27, and has been singing around the traps forever. She was first signed to a local music contract back when she was 17, and has tasted some success but hasn't reached the heights she'd always hoped. Last year, she was runner-up in the World Karaoke Championships. Now, she's got The Voice, her gorgeous proud kids behind her and an unwell father spurring her on.

"I can try to make it while Dad's still here so I can make him proud," she told TV Week magazine about her dad. "He's on his way out, we're taking it one day at a time." Baaaaawwwwwl.

Jayde and Louise had people laughing, for the wrong reasons.

But the other tears came courtesy of the final face-off between Jayde Grey and Louise Van Veenendaal. And they were tears of laughter. The most theatrical performance of the show left Kylie in a fit of giggles from which she could not recover. And she wasn't alone. But the laughter stopped today when Louise revealed that she'd been the subject of vicious cyber bullies all night on Twitter, and she broke down confessing in a radio interview that she'd 'read them all', including a death threat.

Meanwhile Jayde called out The Voice producers for editing out Kylie's 'attempt' to save her after coach will.i.am chose her competitor, Louise. We're not quite sure why this attempt wasn't successful, but here's what Jayde had to say:
