There's a major difference with the 2017 lineup for 'The Block.'

Like clockwork, everyone’s favourite reality home renovation television show has announced it’s back for season 13.

And this time, The Block is adding some star power to its lineup.

Sharing the news on Thursday, Channel 9 confirmed that among the novices, long-term-home DIYs and tradies will be two Australian celebrity couples – model Elyse Knowles and boyfriend Josh Barker, and former NRL star Clint Amos and wife Hannah.

For Knowles, who boasts 600,00 Instagram followers, renovating is nothing new. Within a year of dating, she and Josh had moved in together and renovated their first home.

Three years on, their hard work and design skills are about to get another workout. But thanks to Josh being a carpenter by trade, much of the hard work should be nothing new for him.

As for Clint and Hannah, the learning curve is likely to be steeper on account of them never having renovated before. But as the parents of two point out, they have built a house from scratch before so it’s not an entirely foreign experience.

With Clint now working in property sales, the Queenslanders are likely to have a good understanding of what people are looking for in today’s market.

Other teams set to compete in the series include male mates Sticks and Wombat, married couple Jason and Sarah and mum and dad duo Ronnie and Georgia.
