Why we're impressed by Bachelor Sam's decision.

There’s only one thing we hate more than watching single friends as they navigate the murky waters of romance. That is seeing them be lead on by gutless blokes who can’t muster up the chutzpah to tell them the truth.

Which is why we’re a huge fan of Bachelor Sam.

For the single date this Wednesday, Sam chose dietician Bec Chin. After an indoor skydiving session (who knew that was a thing?) they settled in for a romantic moment with champagne under a garden rotunda.

As the conversation progressed, it became clear that Bec and Sam had less spark than an out of date backyard fizzer.

So, rather than put her through a rose ceremony, Sam sent her home. Earlier in this series former Bachelorette Jacinda went home under fairly similar circumstances.

Yes, they cried. Yes, they were hurt. But we have to give Sam points for being upfront and honest.

We like a man that doesn't string a woman along. It's is a good thing and there should be more of it. If only, you know, he wasn't dating 7,402 women at once. But we'll overlook that this one time.

What do you think of Sam?
