Nikki Gogan, the runner-up of The Bachelor Australia, has received overwhelming support since the finale aired on Thursday night.

In the decision that shocked the nation, 28-year-old fan favourite Gogan lost out to 24-year-old Alex Nation.

Over the weekend, Nikki’s sister Dani Gogan posted a selfie of the two on Instagram, with the caption: “How could he not love her?! Your passion and love for life is infectious, you make us so very proud Nicki Noo xx.”

The post attracted more than 2,000 likes, and hundreds of comments.

Fans echoed Dani’s sentiment, writing, “Nicki, what an absolutely beautiful person you are…you will find your true love without a doubt…” and “What a beautiful girl Nikki is inside and out!”

On her personal account, Dani shared the quote: “She was real that was the thing that made her beautiful.”

She captioned the image with a simple love heart.

Nikki has also posted to her personal Instagram account following Thursday nights finale.

She reflected, “It was the ultimate adventure and I wouldn’t have changed a thing…” before wishing Alex and Richie all the best for their future together “…To Richie and Alex – may your love be modern enough to survive the times and old fashioned enough to last forever, I adore you both.”
