The nation’s surprised she’s still in the running. But The Bachelor has his reasons.
The Bachelor’s Laurina, 30, is often seen as the black sheep amongst the girls left in competition for Blake’s love. This was made very clear on last night’s show when girls like Sam felt she didn’t know what Blake was looking for anymore, after letting go of Chantal and giving Laurina the final rose.
But the girls aren’t the only ones who have had their reservations about Laurina. Blake has said he’s been a bit confused by her as well.
“At the start, I was a little skeptical, because I feel like I can read people fairly well, I am a reasonable judge of character and I couldn’t quite get a read if she was in there for the right reasons. I wasn’t 100 per cent,” Blake told News.com.

Yet as the weeks went by, Blake simply concluded that Laurina was just misunderstood.
“She’s got an awesome sense of humour. She’s so funny and she’ll say something that’s so sharp and you’ll just go ‘that’s hilarious’, like you’re just laughing. She is amazing, she’s got a really soft, tender side and when we’re together, she brings that out,” Blake said.
“For someone, they can be a beautiful person, but it’s inside and out that matters to me and Laurina, she’s a beautiful person. You can see that on the outside, but it’s the inside that really convinces me. When she’s not having that wall down, I don’t see it and it doesn’t add up as much, but when she lets that down and lets you in, it’s almost irresistible,” Blake added.
Laurina also gave Blake an iPod with all of her music which he said helped him to better understand her. “You can find out so much about someone by listening to their music and I started getting a bit of idea of who she was and that helped and that built up and slowly these walls came down,” Blake explained.
