Bachelor in Paradise's Tara Pavlovic has a famous mum Gen Xs will recognise.

Getting engaged on national TV might see Tara Pavlovic recognised as she’s going about her day, but her mum could easily rival her in the fame stakes.

The Bachelor in Paradise star, who came second runner-up in Matty J’s Bachelor season last year and is now engaged to Sam Cochrane, has previously shared that her mum is Debbie Newsome.

And while that name might not mean much to millennials, generations will recognise Debbie as the former host of 80s dating game show, Perfect Match and for her role in James Bond film For Your Eyes Only.

In August last year, Tara told Woman’s Day that having a mother at the helm of a major 80s dating show didn’t have too much of an impact on her childhood.

"Growing up I didn’t think she was different to any other mothers," she said.

"Maybe a little bit more out there because she’s an entertainer – she’s loud, fun and super cool.

"I’d say I have her personality, I’m very bubbly like her."
