NOPE: X-ray reveal man's body infested with tapeworms after eating sushi.

A man in China recently ate sashimi. Lots of sashimi.

That man then started feeling a little… funny. He had itchy skin and a stomach ache that just wouldn’t go away.

Now, because this was a sensible man, he decided to go to the doctor to see what the delio was. The doctor examined him, did some doctor-type things and took some x-rays.

All pretty standard.

UNTIL THOSE X-RAYS REVEALED THAT THE SASHIMI-LOVING MAN’S ENTIRE BODY HAD BEEN TAKEN OVER BY HORRIFYING TAPE WORMS.

The horror. THE HORROR. (via)

The Daily Mail reports that doctors at the Guangzhou People’s Hospital attributed the man’s tapeworm INFESTATION to his love of sashimi, as the baby larvae of tapeworm is often found in freshwater fish like salmon.

Tapeworms can grow up to 15 metres in length before being noticed, and doctors say this man was lucky he discovered his infestation when he did, as once the little monsters reach the brain you’re basically DUNZO.
