The six-year-old boy accused of sexual harassment

Hunter Yelton doesn’t know what sex is, and yet his school has accused him of sexual harassment for kissing his crush on the cheek and hand.

The six-year-old boy from Colorado in the US and the little girl in question consider each other ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’. They like each other and love to spend time together.

It was during music class that Hunter leaned over and kissed her on the hand.

Mum Jennifer Sauders told KRDO, “The other children saw it and went to the music teacher. That was the day I had the meeting with the principal, where she first said ‘sexual harassment’.”

“Now my son is asking questions… what is sex mommy,” the alarmed mum told Huffington Post. “That should not ever be said, sex. Not in a sentence with a six year old.”

Hunter was suspended and the accusation of sexual harassment has been placed on his permanent record.

It seems this affectionate little boy has kissed the object of his affection before and has previously been accused of ‘rough housing’ with her, but his mum says labeling Hunter’s behaviour sexual harassment is going way too far.

“How can you do this? How can you say this about my child? Remove sexual harassment, remove it from his record. I’m going to stand up and fight for him because that’s not the case, that’s not what happened at all,” she said.

The school is standing by their claim, saying Hunter’s behaviour ‘meets the school’s criteria for sexual harassment‘.
