Simone Biles posed for Sports Illustrated, and we can't stop staring at her photo.

Remember Simone Biles?

The American gymnast and her electrifying acrobatics took the world by total storm last August at the Rio Olympics, carving her way to become one of the most successful gymnasts in history.

And now, the four-time Olympic gold medallist has made her striking debut in Sports Illustrated‘s swimsuit issue, posing not to show how her body looks, but detail all the things it can do.

Sports Illustrated released some early photos of Biles starring alongside three-time Olympic gold medallist Aly Raisman, captured by James Macari, as they both gave us incredible, photographic evidence of the remarkable ways their bodies move.

For MJ Day, Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit editor, Biles is someone with extensive talent that translates well in front of a camera.

“Aly and Simone represent all that is beautiful and strong and inspiring in women today,” Day said in a statement.

“Women that are not only elite athletes, that are captivating and impressive in their own professional accomplishments (lots and lots of Olympic gold medals between them), but strikingly sexy and beautiful in front of photographer James Macari’s lens.”

In addition to the early release of the photographs, the gymnasts also starred in a behind-the-scenes video that gives us greater insight into the extent of their strength and flexibility.

Sports Illustrated is also celebrating the launch of the swimsuit issue with a festival in Houston, Biles’ hometown, on February 17 and 18.
