Four TV shows perfect for a Sunday binge.

It’s that time of the week again.

The time where you consider what you should be watching this weekend. An old TV show? A new one?

There are lots of options out there. Probably too many.

Thankfully, we have a new podcast series that understands this, and filters out the very best shows that you should be watching  right now. It’s called The Binge. And it’s hosted by Rosie Waterland and Sarah Jane Collins. And let’s be honest, when Rosie gives you TV recommendations, you tend to listen.

She knows her stuff.  So, Rosie first:

Master of None (Netflix)

Rosie says:

“Aziz Ansari is a brilliant stand up comedian. He was on Parks and Recreation.

“The show is basically about him, and his friends in New York. And I think it was probably one of the best shows in 2015. Every episode was hilarious, it’s gotten a lot of props for being incredibly diverse and it’s just so funny. It’s won a critics choice award.”

Top of the Lake (iView)

Sarah Jane Collins says:

‘It’s a Jane Campion mini series starring Elizabeth Moss who is Peggy from Mad Men. It’s harrowing going. It’s basically the story of a small New Zealand community and a girl goes missing. And Elizabeth Moss plays a police detective who has to find her. But there is all these kind of layers of relationships, and it’s amazing.”

“Plus they’ve just commissioned a second series.”

Mozart in the Jungle (Stan)

Mamamia Editor in Chief, and co-host of Mamamia Outloud Kate de Brito says: “It’s about an orchestra, I know that sounds weird, but it’s the lives of the people around. It’s very light. It’s pretty much just my candy that I eat, well watch around other shows.”

House of Cards (Netflix)

Season 4 is back in March, and if we’re going off the past three seasons, it is going to be epic. What will Frank do to Clare? What will Clare do to Frank? Rosie and SJ chatted to Mamamia’s Editor At Large and epic political nerd Jamila Rizvi on the latest episode of The Binge, and well, she thinks it’s going to be interesting.
