Shannon Noll has been arrested outside an Adelaide strip club.

Former Australian Idol runner-up and national treasure Shannon Noll has been arrested in Adelaide, Yahoo News reports.

The 41-year-old was allegedly involved in a brawl with a bouncer outside of the Crazy Horse Revue on Hindley Street at 2.30am on Sunday morning.

“He got really aggressive and kept saying ‘I’m Shannon Noll, let me back into the Crazy Horse’ and then punched a security guard,” witness Alastair Longmuir told 9NEWS following the arrest. “And then four policemen pinned him down and carried him away in a police car.”

Following the arrest, police confirmed Noll was taken into custody and charged with two counts of assault. Video footage that shows the What About Me? singer being pinned on the ground by officers and being arrested has also emerged.

The singer, who had performed alongside Daryl Braithewaite at Sounds by the River on Friday, will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on February 24.
