Sex and the City might be returning to our TV screens.

For anyone that that thought the film Sex and The City 2 killed the series, think again.

Sarah Jessica Parker said a return of the iconic show in the form of a movie, or even a TV series was a “possibility”.

The 51-year-old actress played Carrie Bradshaw in the show, and said she and her cast-mates, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon, had not ruled out a return.

“I don’t think any of us have said no,” she told the Press Association. “I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie.”

“I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.

“I think that’s always a possibility, definitely.”

It might just be an "anything's possible" response. But she sure seems pretty keen on the idea.

And honestly, we would love to see the return of the original girl squad.

From the fashions - oh-so-good and downright awful - to the story lines that mirror every kind of relationship high and low that 30-somethings could possibly go through, we're getting excited just thinking about it.

SJP continues to embody Carrie as a fashion icon.

Although the star would have to schedule the new TV show or movie around the filming of her new TV comedy, Divorce - where she plays one half of a couple in marriage turmoil.

Only time will tell if SATC is set to return, or if SJP is just playing us all.
