Yes, you read it correctly. Here is a Santa letter complete with a hand-written link to a site showing the toy this child wants Santa to bring him for Christmas. The letter was posted by Twitter user @Gequeoman and shared on Reddit. There they typed in to reveal the requested item - a $20 whale themed RC car.
