It’d be an understatement to say Orange is the New Black‘s Poussey Washington had a rough time in the show’s most recent season.
Happily, things are a little cheerier for the character’s off-screen counterpart, Samira Wiley. On Saturday the actress wed writer and producer Lauren Morelli, whom she met on the set of the wildly popular Netflix prison drama.
Now, before we go into any further detail about the couple’s love story, you really need to check out their wedding outfits:

The breast-plated jumpsuit! The cape! The off-the-shoulder gown! Ugh, it’s all too glorious. In case you’re wondering, both ensembles were designed by Christian Siriano.
According to Martha Stewart Weddings, which had the exclusive on the wedding, the Southern California-based event was colourful and “confetti-themed” — a nod to the pair’s shared love of Funfetti cake.
(A quick Google tells me this is essentially the cake equivalent of fairy bread).

Wiley’s parents officiated the ceremony, and the couple made their entrance to the reception to the heart-wrenching strains of Justin Bieber’s hit Baby.
Morelli and Wiley have been dating since 2014, and announced their engagement on Instagram last October.

Morelli was previously married for two years.
As she explained in a 2014 essay for Mic, the writer split from her husband after coming to the realisation she was gay while working on Orange is the New Black — just months after her wedding.
“I realised I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set. It wasn’t so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a ‘not very sexual person’,” she wrote.
"When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me... But on set, these small moments came into sharp relief.
"I was finally forced to consider a question that had never, ever occurred to me before: Holy shit, am I gay?"
