Rove McManus and Sam Frost have been taken off their breakfast radio slot.

Sam Frost and Rove McManus have been moved to a new time slot as a replacement morning show for 2Day FM Sydney has been announced.

Comedian Em Rusciano shared on Friday afternoon that she and Harley Breen will be hosting the new morning show, writing on Facebook: “Today is a big day, today I can tell you that I have a NEW JOB!”

“I will be hosting breakfast radio on 2Day Fm Sydney this year! Well not just me, Harley Breen too!”

The news was also shared on the Rove and Sam Show Facebook page:

“Hey Sydney, it’s been a real pleasure to do breakfast with you in the morning. We are excited to move from those very early starts and focus on evenings from 7pm > 8pm across the HIT NETWORK starting on Monday 30th January.”

The pair thanked their fans, adding: “we’ve had a blast and we can’t wait to chat with you all again on the 30th of January from 7pm across the Hit Network.”

A statement released by the Hit Network confirmed the move, stating that “the decision came after Rove & Sam along with SCA executives took some time off over the Summer”.

“After review, [SCA] decided that the best route forward for all was to move their show into another time slot.”

Of the shuffle, McManus said: “One of the pleasures of 2016 has been working with Sam so I am looking forward to continuing working with her in 2017 at a more civilised time of day”.

Frost shared a similar sentiment: “I’m pleased to move on with my friend Rove to our next gig, as well as undertake other commitments outside of radio.”
