RM Williams release first female craftsman boot.

It’s taken them 83 years, but R.M. Williams have finally released a new version of their cult classic ‘Craftsman’ boot.

The traditional elastic-sided equestrian boot, which has been worn on runways, wool sheds and at races across the world, is a staple in many Australian’s wardrobes and a go-to shoe for men and women.

The new version – the ‘Adelaide’ – boot is based on the original, but specifically designed for women. It’s lighter, crafted with softer leathers, has a lower cut and is generally more elegant than the heavier and thicker ‘Craftsman.’

And considering riding boots are now very fashionable on the streets of Melbourne, Sydney and New York (trust the bushies to be ahead of the fashion trend), it has come at exactly the right time.

“Whether people are still riding or are in the city and not able to get on to the horse of their childhood, we’ve taken those characteristics of the riding boot and given it a slightly more feminine, elegant look,” RM William's chief marketing officer Martin Rippon told The Australian.

It can be worn as an equestrian boot, as a work boot, or as an everyday boot, and like anything designed by R.M. - it's practical and durable.

Made in the R.M. Williams factory in Adelaide, the new boot is crafted from a single piece of leather - yearling, kangaroo, suede or crocodile.

New look to consider: Jeans and flats. This is how to make it work

Unlike the original Craftsman, which looked a little out of sorts when worn with a skirt and top, the Adelaide doesn't...

We're calling it a winner.
