Your most favourite 80's children show is coming back.

This is the best news of the day.

Turn off the TV.

Silence your phone.

Give the kids some lollies to keep them quiet.

Because I am about to tell you the best news of the year.

Rainbow Brite is coming back!

Yes, the 1980s cartoon is coming back to our TV screens.

Rainbow Brite and Starlite (her beautiful rainbow horse) are coming back to save Rainbowland from darkness.

Sure, she has been digitally enhanced, but she still looks kind of like the original. But most important, she still has her precious rainbows and star sprinkles to make sure she conquers evil.

Entertainment Weekly report that Emily Osment will be the voice behind Rainbow Brite and Molly Ringwalk will be her nemesis, the Dark Princess.

Emily said, “Being cast as the voice of Rainbow Brite for the relaunch of this iconic show is truly an honor. I look forward to connecting with the audience, old and new, and going on this exciting adventure together.”

The series will be available in November in the US, and hopefully will be coming to our shores soon after.
