Our little one has been unfairly treated in many incidents in class. For example, kids were sitting around the carpet to get ready for an activity, upon realising there wasn't much room, the teacher asked my little one only to move back where she was right next to the book corner and more importantly outside the circle and she couldn't see and participate the learning activity properly (we have also asked a few parents to check with other children and they also confirmed that my little one was sitting outside the circle and not sure why), or another instance which happened all the time that my little one finished her work and put her hands on the head waiting for the teacher coming to mark, She was always the first two to finish but the teacher left her till last to mark so a lot of the time, the poor chicken had her hands on her head for ages, sometimes teacher came through to mark the work from the two friends sitting next her and then skipped her even with her hands up. A little 6 years old had no mean to tell a sophisticated lie and she just didn't understand why. .. there were many more incidents. We met the principal this morning asking to move our little one to a different year 1 class and got an abrupt NO response and sorry we do not allow class moving.....There are 5 other year 1 class and with our concern that our child is not safe in this class, I would expect to have some understanding and flexibility from the principal to consider our request. Moving class for our child to ensure our child is not coming home disheartened about her experience in the class with this teacher should not be seen as the teacher/school admitting their faults.???
