I have a similar story. I’m 45 and I just had my son this year. My husband too is younger. His one dream was to be a dad. I got prego at first at 39, miscarriage, then a blighted ovium a year later, then another miscarriage after that. We went to a fertility doctor which was not a good experience. The doctor left little hope saying that I have a 2% chance of a birth naturally. He was cocky and abrasive (not the best bedside manner) and said I had a good reserve, however few eggs would be viable. He said only with his help with invitro, could I even have a shot. This was right before covid hit. We decided to wait and pause, as things were shut down and potentially go to
another specialist we heard of that works
with older women. A few months later, after 5 years of prayers I got prego naturally, we didn’t end up going to the specialist. My Ob office was so supportive and amazing through the nervous time of pregnancy! I had a healthy pregnancy and my baby turned out completely healthy and he is so active! I know exclusively that God gave us this miracle and I give him all the glory! Now my husband has his first Father’s Day today!
