@rush the jam can’t have been that special as I don’t even remember what type it was! My ex didn’t say anything, he was quite immature and very spoilt.

My very wealthy ex-mum in law who thought nothing on spending $thousands on the families birthdays bought me a jar of jam for my birthday, it was also a tiny jar 😂

The hardest thing about being a totally single parent, 2 kids under 4, ex husband living overseas, me with a demanding job (which I had to keep to pay the bills) was the overwhelming feeling of having no one to relate to and share the burden. Every financial and emotional decision was mine alone, with no-one to share the issues with. I have no regrets but the lack of support and understanding  from other people was always disappointing.
