@random dude I agree. That hairdresser makes it sound like she doesn't know what style would best suit her face shape. And it's a shame because there are hairdressers out there that are passionate and do impeccable work and these bunch give them a bad rep.

If you have these complaints then you shouldn't be a hairdresser. It's understandable that some things like a haircut not coming out exact or wanting something else when having a different thing booked but all of these hairdressers make it sound like it's a bother. I'm self-taught and while I've only worked on my family's hair (even my own hair) I've never had any complaints or any requirements of them. I only ask if they have their hair washed is so that I know I can start right away. I tell them that I have no issues washing their hair for them, i just need to know if they washed it or not. I even do hair at anytime of the day (could be 6am and if you want your hair done I'll do it) I just tell them that they have to be willing to sit at whatever time for whatever it is. Once I become a hairstylist this won't change. Any career/job you pick, you must have a passion for. Making it sound like it's a bother, tells me your only doing it for the money. It's understandable because you need money to pay for food, bills, etc, you should be doing something you actually love and have a passion for. You as the professional should have the ability and capacity to handle situations like those.
