As the mother of a 6 year old daughter who I am trying to teach personal safety to, I support the ban for bottoms to be covered up.

Our Paediatrician recommended the book "Everyone has a bottom" as a good way to teach our daughter about private parts and personal body safety. The book teaches little kids that we wear clothes when we leave the house and that bottoms are private. This important safety message has gotten lost in all of the noise.

He's a great actor! I have been a fan of his work since the release of Killing of a Sacred Deer. He was also great as George in Dunkirk.

Barry Keoghan is  a great example of  'in spite of' , instead of 'because of'.

This would be less of an issue if more woman kept their name and gave any children their last name, instead of the father's last name.

My daughter has my last name. When she is older, we will explain to her that we didn't want to perpetuate the belief that children should carry their fathers last name, as if the male name or line is more important. That is just outdated, antiquated BS!

I didn't change my name and our daughter has both our names. We need to consider the messaging to our children of continuing to give preference to male names and male family lines. This has nothing to do with feminism, these outdated and sexist naming traditions of women and our children contribute to the narrative that males ( and their names) are more important than females. It is time for real conversation about this and a cultural shift.

@cat you are totally right! This is one of my biggest bugbears! So many women keeping their surname, but give the child the fathers surname.. I kept my name and my daughter has my name.  I didn't want her to grow up thinking a female surname wasn't as important as a man's.
