@sylv I’ve worked at three state high schools so far (in QLD) and everyone sits on the floor for assemblies... unlike my stepkids’ Catholic school which has a fancy auditorium (thanks, government funding!).
It’s like she has never seen pictures of older people who have spent their lives tanning - their sun damaged skin is atrocious.
Wow! There are seven people in our house some weeks and we spend $350 max a fortnight. Okay, there's no organic rye bread but we eat decent home cooked food every night without fail and the kids and ourselves get homemade lunches. There are so many ways this family could cut costs and spend the money on something else (maybe get that TV!). Seems a bit wasteful to me!
It's only the province of Quebec that forbids women from taking on their husband's name, not the whole of Canada. From what I've read it's practically impossible to change your name there, no matter your reasons.
