I don’t doubt these women take care of their skin with the best skincare and nutrition possible (their livelihood depends on it). However, they also have access to the best dermatologists, surgeons, makeup artists etc, not to mention their own parents likely have fabulous skin. It’s not really attainable for us mere mortals all the time and what we put on our skin doesn’t change our genetics.

Vodka: One Hundred Days by Alice Pung. Written from the perspective of a teenager to her as yet unborn baby, I read it in one day.

Vegetable: Phosphorescence by Julia Baird. Weighty and thought provoking, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
Chocolate: Where the Crawdads sing by Delia Owens. Gorgeous
imagery, if overly romanticised in
parts. But if you can suspend your disbelief, it’s incredibly memorable and I can’t say that of many of the books I’ve read.

My favourite teen dramas predated all of these. Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High, which I watched as re-runs and homegrown Heartbreak High.

Another favourite moment, Johnny Ruffo in general, especially when he sang with Salt N’ Pepa!

Re: 5, Paulini’s gold dress

Dicko was blunt but more constructive than Mark Holden’s “What is with what you’re wearing, girl?”. Poor Paulini, wardrobe was to blame, not her. I don’t imagine these comments would pass muster now!

I voted only once, for teenaged Reese Mastin. What an incredible voice!

I wouldn't go so far as to call her a genius. The woman knows her audience and how to sell a product, nothing remarkable about that. Her momager Kris has trained her well.
