I agree, there has to be a line where good ratings does not impinge on a persons health and well being. I'm sure there is enough material for ratings. When too much nonsense going on I switch off. I myself hate the drama but love to see the happiness.
@passingthrough true, when business hours start at 8.30am and parents can't get to work until after walking to and from the classroom/s then driving in traffic or catching public transport, the school hours are unworkable for most workers. It is not a case of abrogating responsibility of parenting but getting the help to keep your job in a business city environment. How would people feel if banks had no tellers because they have to wait until school.opened to drop their children off?
I had this problem 30 years ago. Obviously nothing has changed. In the 1930' s kids had chores after 3pm and walked a long way home so 3pm finish left enough daylight to get home. Life is different now and schools should 'get with the program'. Perhaps schools can hold the after school.programs, and allow children to rest if they want.
